The start of a fun series on programming.
3 stars
An interesting book that combines a graphic novel with simple programming concepts to give people an idea of what programming actually is, instead of the usual 'so-called hacker madly typing gibberish' seen on TV. It ends on a cliffhanger so it would probably be best to tackle this series of books from the beginning (this book).

Then she meets a friend who starts to teach her the basics of computer programming and together, they begin to explore the school, figuring out its computing secrets.

Into the story is thrown various back-stories involving her mother, her father (who left the family) and a mysterious stranger who they see leaving the Principal's office. Presumably these will be resolved in future books.
An interesting start to the series.
